Caring for your crystals
Crystals absorb energy from their environment and from the journey they have been on. It’s essential to cleanse them regularly to remove any accumulated stagnant energy they are holding on to. Cleansing our crystals ensures they are operating at their fullest potential.
Light – Cleanse crystals with sunlight or moonlight. Place them in direct light; limit sunlight exposure to a few hours to prevent fading delicate stones like Amethyst. Moonlight, especially during a full moon, is gentle and effective, recharging and purifying crystals.
Water – Cleanse crystals with running water or a bowl of water, ensuring the crystal is water-safe. Use streams, rainwater, or faucets for renewal. Avoid water for soft stones like Selenite or Malachite. Water washes away absorbed negative energy.
Air – Purify crystals using smoke from incense, or palo santo, or by blowing focused, intentional breaths across them. Smoke neutralises negative energies, elevating vibrations, while mindful breath aligns your energy with the cleansing process. Use smoke safely in ventilated spaces.
Earth – Rebalance crystals by burying them in soil or placing them on natural surfaces like plant soil. Earth’s energy removes impurities, restoring balance. Enhance this by placing the crystal with or on selenite for added purification and revitalisation.
Space & Sound – Cleanse crystals with sound vibrations using bells, tuning forks, singing bowls, or your voice through chanting or singing. These vibrations release stagnant energy, restoring the crystal’s natural frequency and promoting purification with clear, intentional resonance.
You can also cleanse and charge your crystals with Selenite. Its pure, high-vibe energy gently clears away stagnant frequencies while restoring your crystals to their natural energy.Â
